Baskets
My ever so creative chum gave me a Paperphine basket making set. It consisted of a round plastic loom, a hooking tool that wouldn't look out of place in a dentist's surgery and two different coloured lengths of paper twine wound round 2 lovely chunky wooden reels. The ladies at knit club were most impressed, particularly with the wooden reels. The instructions suggested shaping the completed piece over a bowl or vase but I found my own head was most satisfactory.
The finished baskets are rather fetching and it makes me wonder what other materials I could use on the loom.
